Thirsty?

 Have you ever gone for a walk in the woods and forgot your water bottle? This plant can supply that and more! It is called a Nepenthes also known as a Pitcher Plant. There are over 100 different species of this plant, some grow in the amazon that can be the size of a small child! This is a carnivorous plant, which means it eats bugs and other creatures. The leaves grow a short vine that grows the little pitchers. This plant collects rain water to attract insects and other organisms, the bugs go to drink the water and end up falling in the pitcher to their death. In the spring and summer time the pitchers turn a beautiful purple color at the top around the mouth that fades into a bright green color on the bottom.
